I feel they could have easily taken it a long way alone with just the idea of the Vatican tapes in general.

THE VATICAN TAPES MOVIES MOVIE

Can we also talk about how in just about every fucking exorcism movie it's a girl who is possessed? The only example that I can think of is Haunting in Connecticut where the teen boy is possessed. So that was just a little much for me and I don't like when exorcism movies end and there's like oooh they're still roaming around oooooh. He also describes how, according to the bible, the anti-christ will roam the earth again and disguise himself as a false prophet which is what Angela was doing until there was some sort of show she did at an arena and we can assume she kills everyone or something? The movie cuts out there. The movie ends with the other priest dude explaining that the Vatican keeps a bunch of records about all different exorcisms and tapes of each of them. Everyone except the one priest dude dies and Angela, of course she isn't really Angela anymore.

Or that is what we're left to assume at the end of the movie. In this case, things lost it near the end of the movie when we found out she was actually the anti-christ and she began to walk the earth and perform miracles so she could build up a following and then kill people. Obviously, though, having sooo many possession movies gets boring so while we can't have a classic exorcism anymore they need to try to add onto things rather than come up with their own god damn ideas. The Exorcist did it well for me it was simple and plain and good. I like a good ol' fashion possession story. For me, it's sort of like threading the needle. Writers can easily make these sorts of movies because it sells to horror fans but obviously, they each try to put their own little spin on it. But either way, I like this sort of crap so I'll watch it anyways. All those are basically the same not gonna lie. The Possession, The Possession of Hannah Grace, Haunting in Conneticut, The Nun, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Exorcism of Molly Hartley. But now it's sort of like a common theme in horror movies and no longer grand and big like The Exorcist was. Things like Amityville Horror (which obviously came before The Exorcist) had possession qualities similarly but used its own twist on it which is why it can't really be compared to The Exorcist and vice versa. While Exorcist really popularized the idea of watching a demon possession with priests and all that so many movies began to just replicate it afterwards. That being said, the whole demon possession ordeal has been done literally thousands of times. If you're ever bored you can literally go open a bible and find literal exorcism passages in there and honestly reading them is sort of fun and scary. Ever since seeing the Exorcist (duh) the idea of exorcisms has been so interesting for me. Nothing the priest can do could save her and in the end the anti-christ has returned and roams the earth as proclaimed in the bible. Having chosen Angela as the perfect victim that being born to a prostitute and being raised by her Catholic father. But this is not normal demon in Angela's body but rather the anti-christ itself. They go with the last option they have an exorcism. Things that cannot be explained by any science. More demonic energies begin to emerge from her. Angela ends up in a coma for forty days and right when they are about to pull the plug she comes back alive although not really the Angela they all know. A raven following her around and biting her finger, randomly lashing out in a taxi and crashing the car. From that moment on she slowly began experiencing more weird things. Although her quaint life turned upside down from the moment she got a deep cut while slicing a birthday cake and was sent to the hospital. Even if her father, Roger (Dougray Scott), didn't completely approve of them living together. The Vatican Tapes is a 2015 horror thriller movie directed by Mark Neveldine and staring Olivia Dudley, Mark Pena, Dougray Scott and John Patrick Amedori.Īngela Holmes (Olivia Dudley) had a comfortable life with her boyfriend, Pete (John Patrick Amedori).
